Public transportation in the city

Some ninety-five percent of the energy used to power transportation around the world comprises fossil fuels, and the sector contributes roughly one quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions. The Transatlantic Climate Alliance highlights best practices in the transport sector to speed the transition to low-carbon options, including electric batteries and hydrogen fuel cells for passenger and freight vehicles, public transit, shipping, and aviation. In addition, we educate decision-makers about the multifaceted advantages that will flow from zero-carbon mobility — including green jobs, consumer savings, and health and environmental benefits.
